EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 

After-School Yearbook Club is designed for students in 4th and 5th grades and will be held on Mondays at 3:30-4:15pm. The goal of this club is to enhance student’s creativity, organization skills, and planning. Students will be creating Hadi School’s Yearbook for the 2013-2014 school year.

Dates: 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 4/7, 4/14, 4/21 and 4/28

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

 

Quran-e-Kareem Club is for PK-5th grades on Fridays at 3:30-4:25pm.

Dates: Feb 21st, 28th, Mar 7th, 14th, Apr 4th, 25th, May 9th and 16th.

The focus of the Qur’an club it to provide more intensive lessons with differentiation according to the child’s ability.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Environmental Science Club is on Wednesdays at 3:30-4:15pm beginning February 19th. The goal of this club is to learn about the local food supply chains while answering the question – Where does our food come from? The students will also explore paper making, identifying trees and birds in the area and more!

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Exploration Design Challenge - This club will have 2 sessions. One session is every Monday beginning Feb 24th-April 28th and the other session is every Wednesday beginning Feb 26th-April 30th at 3:30-4:25pm unless school is closed or out early.

The goal of this club is for students to research and design ways to protect astronauts from space radiation. NASA and Lockheed Martin are developing the Orion spacecraft that will carry astronauts beyond low Earth orbit and on to an asteroid or Mars. Protecting astronauts from radiation on these distant travels is an important, and very real problem that needs solving. NASA would like your help! Students who participate in this club will get their names listed on the Orion as virtual astronauts.

Creativity Club for 3rd, 4th and 5th grades is on Tuesdays at 3:30-5:00 pm and runs for the entire year. Through this course, the participants gain basic competency in sewing, interior design, embroidery, multimedia and painting while developing their creativity skills.
